After having The Sims 2 on my computer for years and never actually playing much, I have finally discovered the fun of it. Most recently I started a pseudo-legacy with Haru, my pride and joy sim based on my OC of the same name. Because pictures speak louder than words...

He's a beaut . ^^ I'm very proud of his face. And thanks to much facial geometry tweeking he can now be safely bred with townies/npcs. I'm thinking about posting the pseudo-legacy here with my attempt at commentary but I'm still debating it even though my screencaps for part 1-1 are technically already ready.

Almost 2 weeks late but Happy New Year! ^^;; The end of last year solidified it's stake on 'one of the worst years of my life' in several ways and the beginning of this year isn't looking so hot either but hopefully it'll get better.

In summary of what happened to make me make that claim...

This family is batshit insane - some more than others. *cough*

House is falling apart - water heater died around thanksgiving and poured water into the kitchen (thanks to the bad planning that put it upstairs), water softener died shortly after and washer is on it's death whines.

Got ripped off on repairs - in 2 ways. Firstly the plumbers charged an arm and a leg more than what  the water heater was worth, insurance denied the claim on it (also for 2 reasons: wrong home insurance and plumbers telling my mom to wait before calling them and them claiming everything done was therefore unauthorized) and now fixing up the kitchen ceiling.

I continue to fail at life - yeah. =__=  *sigh*

Found out about more health concerns about Mom - more than I would prefer to explain.

And some other stuff I can't think of right now. *bit brain dead from not being able to sleep well* But during all this I had been living vicariously through my computer, which kept me precariously sane. ^^ Which I will be getting into in my next post...
